Help us crowdsource our honeymoon!
Between the two of us, we had nearly 20 place settings worth of dishes, two Dyson vacuum cleaners, five sets of linens, and more towels than we had room for in the closet. Needless to say, we aren’t making a Bed, Bath, & Beyond registry. Instead, we came up with this crafty plan! Please help make our dream honeymoon a reality by funding an item below (way better than dishes any day, ya?)
So, what are you helping fund exactly?
Another fantastic adventure crafted by your favorite couple! We have an epic road trip planned from Cincinnati, Ohio to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. This is stop #1! We wanted to see the Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Springfield. We are nerdy, we know.
Nebraska gets a bad reputation, but there are actually some pretty exciting things to do there, like visit the Homestead National Monument of America!
You know what else Nebraska has to offer? The Niobrara National Scenic River. It has gorgeous, fossil-filled, sandstone cliffs that boast over 200 waterfalls!
Interior, South Dakota is home to the main entrance of the Badlands National Park. Only good things happen in the Badlands. The Geology Walk and Night Sky Viewing look particularly fun! Not to mention the hiking and the endless photo-ops!
3 million people go to Mount Rushmore National Memorial every year! And for good reason. Kori vividly remembers visiting this national icon as a child, but it will be Brian's first time there. This also covers the Parking Fee for Mount Rushmore!
Everyone knows Mount Rushmore, but not everyone knows about Crazy Horse Memorial! Arguably, just as beautiful and definitely impressive. Impressive enough that they named an entire city after it. This also covers the entrance fees for two into Crazy Horse Memorial.
Wind Cave, located in Hot Springs, SD, is the sixth-longest cave in the world! So far, it has 140 miles of explored passageways with an average 4 new miles discovered every year!
Kori has been cave exploring in Mexico - a harrowing half-day experience with a traveling buddy, Ashley Byrd. They followed shady directions to an old man's house who spoke neither English nor Spanish. He took their payment, put their packs in his house, gave them each a flashlight, and took them on a several hour, belly crawling, cave swimming, probably life threatening adventure that will never be forgotten. Now we have the opportunity to actually learn about safe caving on the Wind Cave Wild Cave Tour!
Custer, SD is home to Jewel Cave, the third longest known cave in the world! The Scenic Tour is only 1/2 mile long (out of 168 explored miles in the cave), but uses 723 stairs (40 flights!). $21.00 gets us gas to Custer and a scenic tour of the cave for two!
